Josephine Bandora

I am currently studying Studio Art at the University of Texas Austin in pursuit of my BFA. Growing as a multidisciplinary artist, I am intrigued with the magical abilities offered by the experimental unknown. My influence is rooted in maneuvering transitional experiences within the self. These experiences shape our interactions with the universe. As an immigrant  in America, my existence has not fallen between two worlds. Self expression is continuously challenged under fluctuating societal pressures, especially when concerned with heritage and culture. In my extensive pursuit of art, I am seeking a deeper understanding of the adaptations I’ve exhibited. I want to unfold how these adaptations personally create fluctuating relations and juxtapositions between identity, culture, and environmental influence. To gather, build, and break down the parts that fuse to form who, and why I am who I become.
